Presenter: Christie Noseworthy, BC
Decoding handbell notation involves understanding the symbols and markings used to represent different notes, dynamics, articulations and other musical elements specific to handbell music. Familiarity with the specific notation system used for handbells, as well as practice in interpreting and translating these symbols into corresponding handbell actions, is essential for accurately performing pieces written for handbells. Join us as we explore, talk about, and decode handbell notation.
